Accorded a farewell reception to the outgoing Deputy Commissioner

On 5 February 2021, a farewell reception was accorded to AKM Mamunur Rashid, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Rangamati Hill District by the Moanoghar Residential School at the school conference hall. Chaired by Jhimit Jhimit Chakma, the function was attended by Ashok Kumar Chakma, Executive Director of Moanoghar, as special guest; while Shishir Kanti Chakma, Assistant Headmaster delivered a welcome speech.
AKM Mamunur Rashid, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Rangamati highly commended the Moanoghar Residential School for its outstanding role to spread education among the marginalised children not only from Rangamati district, but also from the remote areas of the entire hill tracts.   
In his speech Mamunur Rashid said, it is a matter of great opportunity for a student to get a chance to study as a residential student in a school, because a residential school can provide huge learning opportunities to a student. Addressing to the students present in the function, he termed them as “fortunate” ones, who stood in the competitive test among hundreds of aspiring students for admission into Moanoghar. He called upon them to properly utilize all opportunities provided by Moanoghar to build up their lives as worthy citizens of the country.     
The outgoing Deputy Commissioner AKM Mamunur Rashid joined in the Rangamati Hill District on 6 March 2018. Recently the government issued to him a transfer order.
He asked the Moanoghar authority not to hesitate to contact him at any time if anything could be done in his capacity for Moanoghar in the future.
